Published on 22 July 2023, this report by Zoe Clark-Coates, Founder and CEO, The Mariposa Trust and Samantha Collinge, Specialist Midwife and Maternity Bereavement Service Manager, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust has made 73 recommendations, which are intended to support the government and the NHS in creating a forward-looking approach to improve the safety and care experience for all those who have a pre-24-week baby loss.
The Pregnancy Loss Review was commissioned to consider the registration and certification of pregnancy loss occurring before 24 weeks gestation and on the quality of National Health Service care. The Review will make recommendations on improving the care and support women and families receive when experiencing a pre-24 week gestation baby loss.
